Information about the model

Kia Motors Corporation is popularly known as Kia Motors. This is a well-known South Korean multinational automobile company with its headquarters based in Seoul. This the second-largest automotive company in South Korea. The company was founded in 1944 and has an excellent reputation in the car market. Just like any other multinational automobile company, Kia Motors also has a wide range of vehicles to offer. One of the popular car lines is Optima which is a mid-size car.

Kia Optima IV: Fourth Generation

Kia Optima IV is a medium-sized car that is designed for luxury travel. It features an attractive look with a comfortable interior. The car went on sale towards the end of 2015. Kia Optima IV shares the platform with Hyundai Sonata 2015. However, it comes with a new design, features, and other enhancements. Just like the previous model, Kia Optima IV was designed by Peter Schreyer.

The new Kia Optima IV was launched in the home market in 2015. In 2017, it was introduced in the Malaysian market. The car is equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged four- cylinder gasoline engine paired with 6-speed automatic transmission. In 2016, the company launched a plug-in hybrid variant which was unveiled at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show. The same year, they revealed the Sports wagon variant at the Geneva Motor Show. This was mainly developed and designed for the European market. In 2018, the company revealed the facelifted Kia Optima IV at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. It was later introduced in the South Korean market.

Kia Optima IV comprises of different variants each of which comes with unique features. The production of Optima IV was started in 2016 and continued till 2018. The Optima also won the International Car of the Year award two times. This is one of the best car models from the company.
